Announcements :

"FOCUS ON HEALTH" is our major thrust for the club. Utilizing the resources of the Nebraska Lions Foundations "Focus On Health" program, we as a club emphasis Diabetes Awareness. Lions are interested in Sight Conservation, and Diabetes is one of the largest causes of blindness in our country.

Representative from our Club would be happy to make a short 20 minutes presentation on : "Diabetes - Laymans Terms"

"LIONISM IS A COMMITMENT TO SERVICE" - Join us for breakfast this Wednesday morning at 7:00 AM for good fellowship, meaningful discussions and much more .

We are a Lions Service Club of 19 members made up of business and professionals men and women, running the gamut of age from the thirties to the retired - We enjoy the camaraderie of meeting each week for breakfast, which includes interesting guest speakers once a month, open discussions twice a month, and one meeting devoted to club business.

We are structured into committees, which manage our various fundraising projects, and the philanthropies utilizing these funds:

• WAYS & MEANS: Giant Coloring Book, College World Series (Non-Profit), Entertainment Books, White Cane Day, Garage Sale.
• SERVICE: Scholarship Program to graduating HS Seniors - Eyeglass & Hearing Aid Recycling - Sight & Hearing Conservation - Diabetes Awareness through "Focus On Health"- Nebraska Lions Foundation Mobile Screening Unit Support - Working with the Homeless - Holiday Shopping with Blind Children
